Derbyshire denied batting point against Glamorgan
A fourth wicket for Michael Hogan denied Derbyshire a fourth batting point on the final morning of the match against Glamorgan.
The last-wicket pair of Tom Poynton and Andy Carter had added 56 in nine overs to take the home side to 345 when Carter was caught off a leading edge at cover for a career-best 39.
Hogan was Glamorgan’s most successful bowler with 4 for 74 but their lead had been cut to 32 and they lost two wickets in extending it to 79 at lunch.
James Kettleborough had been bowled playing no shot in the first innings and he lost his off-stump to Luke Fletcher in identical fashion in the seventh over for 20.
Will Bragg made a century on the opening day but this time made only 10 before he was lbw for the second time in the game to the off-spin of Wes Durston but the game looks destined to end in a draw.
