THE CONSULTATION on the future of youth activities in Derbyshire is to get underway on Monday.
Derbyshire County Council is running a ten week consultation to ask local people, youth activity users, staff and partner organisations to give their views on proposed changes to the way youth activities are offered.
The authority is proposing to no longer provide front-line activities for teenagers including youth clubs and its mobile service - currently the council provides around 30 per cent of youth activities in Derbyshire.
Councillor Barry Lewis, Cabinet Member for Young People, said: “We want to hear from as many people as possible during our consultation.
“You’ll be able to do this very easily by visiting our website or requesting a copy of the consultation questionnaire.
“By consulting on our proposals we hope to offer the best activities for our young people that meet their needs.”
