Scouts, Cubs and Beavers from the 1st Sitwell Scout Group have paid a visit to Ilkeston Football Club in what was many of the youngsters, a chance to watch their football match.

Pictured are some of the children speaking to the football club manager Kevin Wilso. From left are Alice Last, Braydon Swann, Charlie McGuinness, Dylan McGuinness, Lucy hollingshurst, Luke hollingshurst, Reuben Hextall.

The group is based in Horsley Woodhouse.

The Scouts, Cubs and Beavers from 1st Sitwell Scout Group in Horsley Woodhouse visited Ilkeston Football Club to watch their first live football match.
When the re-open group asked the kids of the group who had seen a live football match the amount who responded that they hadn’t was a surprise, so Ilkeston Football Club along with the club’s function rooms invited the Scout group to see a live match and try the food that the functions rooms had to offer.

Sadly the first planned match had to be cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch. However, when game was rescheduled the kids who did attend had a great time.

Many thanks to the football club and for the chip cobs etc. in the function rooms supplied too.

The Scout group has recently re-opened in Horsley Woodhouse. 1st Sitwell is open to the surrounding areas from Heanor, Shipley park, Marlpool, Smalley and, of course, Horsley Woodhouse to name a few places.
