Young volunteers transformed a disused patch of grass into a toddler-friendly garden in Somercotes.

Eight young people aged ten to 13 spent two weeks of their summer holidays making-over the outdoor area at the Children’s Centre in Somercotes as part of a Dreamscheme project run by local landlord, Futures Homescape. The group built a fence and archways and planted flowers before painting a mural, decorating the garden with bunting and making cakes for a garden party for local parents and their children.
