A woman has been taken to hospital after a fire at a house in Heanor.
Police and firefighters were called to Carlyle Place at about 8.30pm yesterday.
Firefighters battled the blaze, which was in the ground-floor of the two-storey terraced house.
A Derbyshire fire service spokesman said: “Firefighters also rescued a woman from the property.
“She was suffering from smoke inhalation and attended to by the ambulance service before being taken to hospital.”
An investigation into the cause of the blaze is underway.
