WEATHER WARNING: Thunderstorms, hail and heavy rain in the East Midlands
Weather forecasters have issued a '˜yellow' weather warning for rain this evening - which could also include thunderstorms and hail.
The Met Office has issued the warning after heavy thunderstorms are expected in Nottinghamshire ad Derbyshire later this afternoon (April 14).
A spokesman said: “ Not everywhere will see these, but where they do occur, be aware of localised impacts from hail and lightning, as well as heavy rain producing standing water on roads and reduced visibility.”
The showers will slowly die out throughout the evennig.
