An early weather warning has been issued across the East Midlands as heavy rain and snow could bring floods and ice to the region this weekend.
The Met Office has issued a yellow alert for rain and snow in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire for Saturday (December 12).
Rain is likely to spread from the southwest which could become heavier in some parts of the region.
There is a low likelihood that the rain could lead to flooding and cause some travel disruption.
There is also potential for the rain to turn to snow and accumulate - especially on high ground.
A Met Office spokesman said: “Much uncertainty surrounds Saturday’s weather, but there is the potential for disruption from both rain and snow.”
