Warning to youngsters over Hallowe’en trick or treating

A WARNING has been issued advising youngsters not to ‘tick or treat’ at certain homes on Hallowe’en.

PC Mark Reddish told a meeting of Ripley Town Council that police posters advising youngsters to not ‘trick or treat’ at certain houses were starting to be sent out. He also told the meeting that officers from the Ripley town Safer Neighbourhood Team would be monitoring sales of flour and eggs in local shops in the run-up to Hallowe’en.

It is all in an attempt to ensure the popular period runs smoothly.
