A Ripley-based music group for toddlers is celebrating 12 years of classes this month.
Twistin Tots has seen hundreds of babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers from Ripley, Belper, Tibshelf and other areas of Derbyshire come together for many mornings of singing and dance over the years.
Mother of two Jacqui Davis founded Twistin Tots in June 2006 when she was pregnant with her second child.
She said: “Little did I know when I started the group that I would still be going strong 12 years later.
“The classes were developed initially as a stop-gap to fill my time before my children were at school, but classes have gone from strength to strength and I now run classes in nine locations, with three new locations coming from September.
“We even have some of the original mums from 12 years ago still coming with new siblings – so I must be doing something right.”
All classes help young children with speech and language development, co-ordination and co-operation, social skills and movement.
They use simple actions that children can understand and a variety of innovative props and puppets to assist children’s learning development and motor skills.
