Theatre in cash boost

The Shaggy Dog Theatre Company helped raise £200 for the British Heart Foundation by performing five short plays written by members of the cast. The evening event, organised in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Ripley, was held at the Lumb Farm, Marehay, and was entitled Tails at the Farm. The five plays performed were Power Surge, written by Thelma Knowlson, Lonely Hearts, written by David Guy, Whinging, by David Guy, Neighbourlyhood Watchdog, by Thelma Knowlson, and Schools Out, written by Thelma Knowlson and David Guy.

The theatre company is available to perform short plays and sketches, readings or murder mysteries to support fundraising by charities and local non-profit organisations. They do not charge.For more information please go to
