Tattooed man grabbed teenage girl around waist and assaulted her in Pinxton

Officers investigating an assault on a 13-year-old girl have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Church Street West in Pinxton.

The girl was on Church Street West, Pinxton, when she was approached from behind and grabbed around her waist.

Three men then allegedly assaulted her.

One of them was in his early 40s with tanned skin and short cropped brown hair and stubble.

He was of a muscular build and wore a dark grey hooded top and black bottoms.

He had a large tattoo from the wrist on his left arm.

The men were disturbed by a passer-by who shouted at them.

DC Matt Greatorex, who is investigating the allegation, which happened at about 6pm on Saturday, January 9, but was only reported to the police last week, is appealing for that witness to come forward.

He would also like to hear from anyone else who has information which would help the investigation.
