COFFEE shop worker Beth Phillips certainly got the cream this week after being crowned the Ripley and Heanor News’ Super Server 2010.
Beth, who works at Clarkes, on Grosvenor Road, landed the honour after a public vote.
She had been nominated by customers who use the coffee shop.
They described Beth as always friendly, pleasant and helpful to customers.
One person who nominated her said nothing was too much trouble for Beth.
Proud owner of the store, David Clarke, said: “She started when she was 16 and she has always been very good.
“I’m just pleased that she’s been recognised by the competition in your paper.”
As well as the title of the News’ Super Server, Beth will win a fantastic £50 food voucher from The Deli on Oxford Street in Ripley.
Editor of the Ripley and Heanor News Julie Crouch said: “Our Super Server Award was hugely popular with 21 shop workers from Ripley and Heanor nominated and many more people voting for their favourites.
“We would like to thank The Deli too for supporting our award.”
