Storm Doris turns Alfreton garden into ‘danger zone’

Storm Doris certainly took its toll last week, especially on the garden of Jessica Mosley.

Eight panels were ripped out of her fence in the garden of her Alfreton home.

Mum of four Jessica, of Shakespeare Drive, said: “It was very worrying as there were long screws sticking out the panels and the panels were flying around. We’ve not long moved into the property and we were planning on doing up the garden up in summer anyway, but now its such an eyesore and an embarrassment.

“The fence panels are beyond repair too, so we can’t even put them back up as a temporary fix.

“We have young children and even when the weather picks up we can’t let them go into the garden in case there are still nails – it’s a danger zone.”
