Special school given cash for sensory room

Alfreton Park Community Special School have received a cheque for £10,000 from Alfreton Town Council, to complete the refurbishment of their sensory room.

The sensory room is a special room designed to as means of therapy for children with limited communication skills as well to aid their learning.

Amber Valley Rotary club started the work back in May but production had come to a holt until more funds could be raised to complete the project.

Alfreton Park School extended their 
gratitude to Amber 
Valley Rotary and the 
Town Council for all they have done to produce an 
area ‘out of this world’ for the Children.

Alfreton Park School is a community school for pupils with special needs where they can benefit from 
specialist teaching, 
knowledge, and expertise of staff.
