Sign is not town council’s

May I correct the illusion over the sign outside the fire station.

The town council do not erect signs.

It would have to be applied for by planning permission to Amber Valley Borough Council by the Leisure Private company who run the leisure centre.

They would have had to consult the fire brigade, also Derbyshire County Council. It would have been approved by the planning board if there had been any objections – if there was none it could have been done under dedicated power by the chairman of the planning board.

Nothing to do with the Ripley Town Council.
