School raises £471 for charity

Staff and students at Alfreton Grange clubbed together to raise £471 for Cardiomyopathy UK. Year Nine student at the school, Kya Stronge, approached the leadership team to ask if the school could hold a charity event to raise money in aid of her sister Amour, who suffers with dilated cardiomyopathy. The student council were tasked with raising the money and organised a non-uniform day and cake sale. Headteacher Mr Smith said: “I’m really proud of all the students.”
