Rocking event hits right notes

The fourth annual Hstock rock event has raised £1,717 for the Parents’ Association for Seriously Ill Children (PASIC).

Seven local acts from Ripley and Heanor entertained a 250-plus crowd during an evening of rock music on November 19, last year, at Shopley Working Men’s Club. Event organiser Andy Whitt, pictured handing the cheque to PASIC representative Bea Brunton, said: “To raise this amount of money is a credit to the generosity of the people of Heanor and its surrounding areas.”

This year’s Hstock planned for November 18 will see the reformation of the band Shywolf after 25 years.
