ILKESTON residents face two months of roadworks after plans to replace 1km of pipes started this week.
Townsfolk in the Larklands area of town received letters from Severn Trent Water to inform them that temporary traffic lights will be in use during the planned eight weeks of works.
The firm has blamed frequent bursts in the network in the area over many years for the decision, identifying 1km of piping which is to be replaced.
Temporary traffic lights will be at the junctions of Caroline Court and Greenwood Avenue and Green Lane and Greenwood Avenue.
There will be another set further along Greenwood Avenue.
Nearby Smedley Street and St James Avenue will also be affected.
