Pupils at Ripley Academy of Dance were over the moon after all the budding ballet stars received top marks in a national set of exams. The students, aged between five and 16, gained marks of merit or distinction in the prestigious Royal Academy of Dance Classical Ballet Examinations. Meanwhile, Ripley’s Academy of Drama pupils celebrated successes in their London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts Speech and Acting exams. Several students, aged between five and 20, took part. Special congratulations went to Geoffrey Mullen for passing his grade eight acting exam with distinction. Principal of the Cromford Road school Felicity Cutting said she was proud of all the pupils.
