A brand new Indian restaurant has opened in Ripley with a range of mouthwatering dishes and some very appetising special offers.
Ripley Spice was officially opened last Tuesday on the High Street with a special event attended by Mayor of Ripley councillor Alwyn Bridge and his wife Julie.
Co-owners Mohammed Alam,Mujibaur Rahman and Misbaur Rahman spotted the opportunity whilst browsing for property on the internet.
Mr Alam said: “The atmosphere of the town attracted me. We want to give people a high class service and good value for money.”
The new restaurant is giving 20 per cent discounts on takeaways over £14 and ten per cent off deliveries on Sunday to Friday.
Ripley Spice boasts seven members of staff and is open seven days a week from 5.30pm to 11.40pm on weekdays and up to midnight on the weekend.
Mr Alam said: “We specialise in baltis and seafood. We have 11 different seafood dishes from sea bass to salmon to king prawns as well as traditional indian fish dishes.
“There is a great variety of dishes and we also do a small amount of Chinese food.”
As well as a mouthwatering selection of dishes, diners can order a combination dish which allows them to have something they know they definitely like as well as a taster of something new.
The new restaurant is based in premises that were formerly occupied by Valentino’s Italian restaurant.
Mr Alam said: “We have totally revamped the restaurant to give it a 21st century look.
“It’s got bench seating to accommodate large group and parties.
“We can cater for birthdays, weddings and anniversaries.
“If they book with us they get a free celebration cake!”
