Dozens of diligent Ripley pupils who achieved 100 per cent school attendance in the past year were rewarded for their hard work with a fun-packed activity day.
More than 160 studious children from six schools in the area enjoyed a day of making campfires, toasting marshmallows, jumping through hoops and blowing giant bubbles at Riddings Junior School.
All pupils have an attendance target of 97 per cent, encouraging good habits and attitudes to learning from an early age.
Sarah Roberts, business service manager at the school, said: “This is the second year we’ve rewarded full attendance in this way and the children love it, it’s a really fun incentive.
“The pupils also enjoy a special dinner with crudites and cupcakes.”
