Ripley Morris Men set to entertain over Christmas

A traditional folk play is set to keep pubgoers entertained over Christmas, as Ripley Morris men tour nightspots in a bid to raise money for charity.

The group is to perform The Hammersmith Guisers, a play which originated in the early 20th century, to raise funds for Ripley Community Hospital League of Friends. The performers will be touring Selston on Friday, December 6 evening; around Ripley Heage and Denby on Friday, December 13, and around  Riddings, Somercotes and Swanwick on Friday, December 20.
