Rescue cat shot in the neck with air pistol
The sickening attack has left rescue cat Rocky with a nasty puncture wound and his owner Carl Lowe devastated.
Carl, 49, who lives on the Parks estate in Belper, said the barbaric act was all the more hurtful as Rocky was his late son’s cat.

The cat was rescued as a six-week-old kitten and named Rocky by Lewis as he was a huge boxing fan.
Carl said: “I got the cat for my son when he was very, very ill and to have lost him in the circumstances would have been totally devastating.”
Rocky was treated at the PDSA practice in Derby and Carl is hoping to raise money through a Just Giving webpage to raise funds for the veterinary charity.
