A bin man had to be taken to hospital after he was in collision with a car in Codnor this morning (Thursday, November 14).
The 59-year-old suffered head injuries and a broken leg after being hit by a Ford Ka at around 7.20am.
Paramedics arrived at the scene on Codnor-Denby Lane to attend to the Amber Valley Borough Council worker, who was on a shift at the time.
Police officers attended to close the road while the man received treatment. He was later believed to have been taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham. Paramedics said his condition was not life threatening and the road was reopened at 8.45am.
