PINTS were pulled at the Hunters Arms in Kilburn to launch the Amber Valley Ripley Rail Ale Festival of 2011.
The event, held at Amber Valley’s Camra pub of the year, enticed Amber Valley Mayor Ron Ashton to bend the elbow.
He said: “Well done for organising a beer festival in Amber Valley.
“There are many micro-breweries within the Amber Valley region and I recognise the importance of supporting these in the area, which the beer festival will do.”
The launch event showcased this year’s beer festival Tee-shirts and the 2011 beer glasses. Cllr Ashton was given both.
The Ripley Rail Ale Festival is being held at Midland Railway Centre, Butterley Station, Ripley, Derbyshire from Thursday, September 29 to Sunday, October 2.
It will be in both a marquee and in two old railway carriages.
There will also be live music on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.
