Kilburn Safer Neighbourhood Team have been shortlisted for a national travel award after their recent work with local schools.
The team have been working with Derbyshire County Council on a project to promote and encourage pupils and parents to travel safely to school.
The iniative has bagged the team a nomination for the sustainable travel category in the Modeshift National Travel Awards.
Derbyshire County Council’s deputy cabinet member for jobs, economy and transport, Councillor Andy Botham said: “It’s great that our work with our partners has been recognised in this way.
“Both these projects are about encouraging pupils to either walk or cycle to school and they’ve been successful in doing this.”
The award winners will be announced at Modeshift’s national conference on Saturday, November 8, in Birmingham.
