A Pinxton charity which helps children affected by the fallout from the Chernobyl nuclear disaster is appealing for help from generous local families.
The Chernobyl Children Life Line Charity is looking for East Derbyshire families to host a child from Belarus during a month-long annual trip. A network of families, organised trips and an interpreter is on hand to provide support. Chairman Richard Street said: “You would be giving them a holiday of a lifetime, as well as benefiting their health.”
