IN PICTURES: Ripley Academy students collect A-level results

The wait was finally over for students at The Ripley Academy who collected their A-level results today (Thursday).

And our photographer was there as students eagerly opened their envelopes to discover their grades.

Across Derbyshire, a total of 2,517 students received their Level 3 (A-level and equivalent) results. The average grade for a Derbyshire student was C+ – an improvement on C- in 2015; and the overall pass rate in the county is 96 per cent.
