Pedestrian hit by car before being assaulted and robbed

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was hit by a car, assaulted and then robbed in Derbyshire.

The 24-year-old was crossing High Street, Codnor, when he was hit by a car and knocked to the ground unconscious. When he came round, he saw a man standing over him, shouting and swearing.

The victim believes the man came from a nearby car. The man assaulted the victim, punching and kicking him before taking cash from his pocket and leaving.

He suffered cracked ribs and cuts and bruises to his head.

The incident happened at 2am on March 20.
