The tenth annual Alfreton Party in the Park is set to return this weekend with a host of attractions for the whole family.
Among the entertainment at Alfreton Park this Sunday the Mark Stannage stunt team is set to perform a number of dangerous escapes including leaping from an exploding coffin.
Ripley Academy of Dance and the Clare Sales School of Dance are also set to perform alongside displays from Amber Valley Gymnastics
The event will also see the four finalists of the Alfreton Battle of the Bands competition playing on the main stage.
Winners of the contest The Snatch will join seven more bands and ten acts in an acoustic marquee to perform.
Organiser Liam Connell, 49, of Alma Street, Alfreton, said: “It will be bigger this year. We booked the Mark Stannage stunt team eight years ago and they were brilliant - they scared the life out of me!”
The procession and marching band are set to leave Rogers Lane in the town at 11am.
A funfair, stalls, a chainsaw sculptor, children’s entertainer, bouncy castles , reindeer and much more is also set to feature.
