Prizes are up for grabs when Disability Derbyshire Coalition for Inclusive Living (DDCIL) hosts a free ‘open doors’ event at their Ripley headquarters on Monday October 22.
The event aims to raise the profile of DDCIL, a local charity which supports and advises disabled people living within Derbyshire.
Publicity coordinator Hannah Stirland said: “Come along and meet new people, devour the scrumptious cakes and be in with the chance to win some amazing prizes. It promises to be a fabulous event. I’d like to see the whole community popping in and joining in the fun!
“The centre offers a range of services such as computer training and counseling, which are available to everyone. Whether you’d like to get-online or do some advanced training on spreadsheets or PowerPoint, DDCIL can help.”
The event at the Park Road office kicks off at 10am when Tesco community champion, Dilys Flinders, will judge a baking competition. Prizes include a Tesco hamper and a Lakeland three-tier cake-stand.
If you’d like to get baking with the chance to win a prize, please contact Julia Chapman on 01773 740246.
DDCIL will be running competitions and quizzes throughout the event.
