New B&M Bargains to create 50 jobs

B&M bargains have announced the firm will be opening a new store in Somercotes, in a move that will create 50 new jobs for the community.

The bumper discount store revealed the new outlet will be opening up in premises formerly occupied by B&Q, in Nottingham Road, on December 5.

It has been confirmed that 50 new jobs will be created with the new store.

A full internal and external refurbishment programme is currently being undertaken by developers.

Gaynor Bolton, Store Manager at B&M Somercotes said: “We are really proud to be creating 50 jobs across Somercotes this year and playing our part in the local community.

“We are excited to get the doors open on Saturday, December 5; providing great value products and world class service to customers across the whole town.”

Ms Bolton added that the new B&M will be a home store and garden centre.

She said: “Customers can expect a wide variety of branded and own label products from its convenient location on Nottingham Road including groceries and toiletries as well as an extensive non-food section including toys, home, furniture and seasonal ranges.”
