Assault

Nathan George Baranow, 27, of Preston Avenue, Alfreton. Found guilty of assaulting a police officer in the execution of his duty. Community order to last until May 11, 2018, with 150 hours of unpaid work. Must pay £300 compensation, an £85 victim surcharge and £625 costs.

Philip Turner, 49, of Occupation Road, New Houghton. Found guilty of assault by beating. Community order to last until May 11, 2018, with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and 120 hours of unpaid work. Restraining order to last until May 11, 2020. Must pay £250 compensation and an £85 victim surcharge and £750 costs.

Sharon Mandy Hage, 44, of Henry Street, Grassmoor, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer. Fined £80 and must pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Other

Daniel Lee Parkes, 40, of No Fixed Abode. Indicated a guilty plea to being inside a Chesterfield town centre exclusion area and was drinking in public and therefore breaching two conditions of a criminal behaviour order. Committed to prison for eight weeks. Must pay a £115 victim surcharge.

Stephen James Donaldson, 31, of Hipley Close, Holme Hall, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to dishonestly receiving stolen goods namely a SONY Playstation3 and games. Pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody having been released on bail. Pleaded guilty to damaging a door frame and window. Pleaded guilty to assault by beating. Pleaded guilty to a further count of failing to surrender to custody. Committed to prison for eight weeks suspended for one year with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement. Must pay a £115 victim surcharge and £385 costs. Admitted committing a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for nine months imposed for a theft. No adjudication. Dealt with for the theft which was subject to the conditional discharge. No separate penalty.

Carl Plumridge, 24, of Penmore Street, Hasland, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to damaging a UPVC door. No separate penalty. Pleaded guilty to resisting police in the execution of their duty. Fined £169 and must pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

James Booker, 28, of Haldane Crescent, Bolsover. Indicated a guilty plea to approaching a former partner to speak with his son which he was prohibited from doing by a non-molestation order. Community order to last until June 28, 2017, with a six week curfew. Must pay an £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Kristian William Harrison, 31, of Kirkstone Road, Newbold, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to damaging a window to the value of £250 belonging to Tandoori Delight Takeaway. Fined £40 and must pay £250 compensation and a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

John Hendy, 56, of The Common, South Normanton. Found guilty of being in charge of a German Shepherd dog which was dangerously out of control and injured someone. Committed to prison for 26 weeks suspended for 24 months with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and 150 hours of unpaid work. Must pay £1,025.03 in compensation. The dog must always be kept on a lead and be muzzled in public or it will be destroyed.

Michael Henry Barrett, 29, of Derby Road, Chesterfield. Admitted failing to comply with a community requirement of a suspended sentence order by failing to attend with a responsible officer. Fined £40 and must pay £60 costs.

Jacob Samuel Lee Roberts, 28, of Penmore Street, Hasland, Chesterfield. Admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order by failing to attend with a responsible officer. Order to continue but varied with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement.

Drugs

Mathew Bateman, 27, of Marsh Avenue, Dronfield. Indicated a guilty plea to producing 18 cannabis plants, a controlled class B drug. Committed to prison for 26 weeks suspended for 12 months with a Drug Rehabilitation Requirement. Fined £400 and must pay a £115 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Colin Timothy Bailey, 30, of Stephenson Place, Clay Cross. Indicated a guilty plea to producing a quantity of cannabis, a controlled class B drug. Discharged conditionally for one year. Must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Motoring

Carole Maxine Clarke, 64, of Hickton Road, Swanwick, Alfreton. Pleaded guilty to exceeding the alcohol drink-drive limit. Fined £416 and must pay a £41 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 14 months.

Kevin Raymond Wood, 59, of Buxton Terrace, Sydnope Hill, Two Dales. Pleaded guilty to exceeding the alcohol drink-drive limit. Fined £576 and must pay a £57 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 18 months.

Matthew Darren Bean, 30, of Springfield Road, Barlow. Pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention. No separate penalty. Pleaded guilty to being the driver of vehicle owing to the presence of which an accident occurred whereby damage was caused to another vehicle and failed to stop. Must pay an £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for six months. Pleaded guilty to failing to report the accident to police. No separate penalty.

Alexander Lee West, 20, of Chester Court, Eckington. Pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention. Fined £300 and must pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving record endorsed with nine points. Pleaded guilty to driving while not wearing a seatbelt. No separate penalty.

Theft

Jason Watson, 38, of Birchwood Lane, South Normanton. Pleaded guilty to stealing £1,400. Community order to last until May 15, 2018, with 200 hours’ unpaid work. Must pay £1,400 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge and £300 costs.
