Angela Lane, 45, of Beighton Street, Ripley. Pleaded guilty to stealing a navy coat, to the value of £20, from the Peacocks store in Ripley. Community order made. Ordered to pay £20 compensation and £30 costs.

Jonathan Gordon Alletson, 33, of Parks Avenue, South Wingfield, Alfreton. Pleaded guilty to stealing various items of jewellery, to the value of £2,500, belonging to a woman. Committed to prison for 23 weeks, suspended for 12 months. Ordered to pay £600 compensation.

Andrew Probert, 35, of Selhurst Road, Newbold, Chesterfield. Indicated plea of guilty to stealing three Soap and Glory advent calendars, to the value of £120, belonging to Boots. Committed to prison for 12 weeks as it was a series of offences against same store while on community order and conditional discharge.

Anne Marie Mettam, 34, of Newbold Road, Newbold, Chesterfield. Indicated plea of guilty to dishonestly making off without making a payment of £36 to a Chinese takeaway. Fined £50, ordered to pay £50 compensation and must attend a Thinking Skills programme.

Graeme Gibbons, 40, Hyndley Road, New Whittington. Pleaded guilty to stealing clothes, to the value of £31, belonging to Primark. Discharged conditionally for 12 months, a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Keelan Angus Cooper, 21, of Station Road, Whitwell. Pleaded guilty to damaging a wooden gate, to the value of £100, belonging to a woman. Ordered to pay £100 compensation, a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Discharged conditionally for 12 months.

Shona Jordan, 44, of Mettesford, Matlock. Found guilty of damaging a television, to the value of £250, belonging to a woman. Fined £120, ordered to pay £250 compensation and costs of £200.

ASSAULT

Christopher Lee Brown, 30, of Charlesworth Street, Carr Vale, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating her. Community order made. Fined £50, ordered to pay £100 compensation, £85 costs and victim surcharge of £85.

Stephanie Louise McCormick, 33, of Pennine Way, Loundsley Green. Pleaded guilty to assaulting PC Mettam, a constable in the execution of his duty. Committed to prison for four weeks concurrent, suspended for 12 months.

John William Wayne, 39, of Lumsdale Crescent, Matlock. Pleaded guilty to being in possession of 47 grams of cannabis. Ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and £85 costs.
