Keep the Jubilee pennies coming

We are hugely pleased to announce this week that we have reached the £200 mark in our Jubilee Jam Jars Appeal.

You deserve a huge pat on the back – it is fantastic news for our campaign to raise enough money to plant a commemorative tree accompanied by a plaque in each of our towns.

But we can’t rest on our laurels we still need your help – so it’s time to search down the back of the sofa and tip out those pots and jars around the house and hunt out those pennies.

We figured if each of us donated just a few pennies, we would soon reach our target, and given this week’s total, I’m sure we can do that.

It will mean we can have a permanent community reminder to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee – something we can all be proud of.

You can drop of your pennies at our office at 27 Grosvenor Road, Ripley, the next time you are shopping in town.

Don’t forget to let us know about your Jubilee events – we want to give a mention to as many as we can to create a lasting record of what we did in the Ripley and Heanor area to celebrate the Jubilee.
