Jenna wins top spot

JENNA is the winner of our Eastwood & Kimberley Advertiser Pets on Parade competition.

The Lhasa Apso is owned by Karen Robinson who nominated little Jenna for the Advertiser’s top prize.

Speaking this week after we revealed her win, Karen, of Charles Avenue, Eastwood, said: “I’m so, so pleased. She’s just such a lovely, beautiful dog. ”

Karen said two-year-old Jenna loved having clips and bobbles in her hair, so she decided to make her an Easter hat for the festivities back last month.

“She takes lovely pictures so I thought I would get one of her in her Easter hat!” said Karen.

After totting up the hundred of votes we received, Jenna came out as a deserving winner meaning Karen will now have £50 to spend at Chambers Pet Supplies.

Second spot was taken by Lady Gucci whose owner Samantha Brice will receive £20 to spend at Chambers.

The Teacup Pug is nearly two-years-old and pushed Jenna all the way but was just pipped at the post.

Samantha, of Nottingham Road, Eastwood, said: “I’m so happy, bless her. She is adorably cute.”

Samantha said Jenna was unlike other Teacup Pugs.

“They’re usually lazy but she’s full of life!” said Samantha.

Once again we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part in our competition – whether it was nominating their pet or simply voting for who they thought should win.

And a special thanks must go to Chamber Pet Supplies for their support in offering prizes for our winners.

The Ilkeston shop has recently moved location into even bigger premises at the old Factory nightclub in Bath Street after a £60,000 revamp meaning it can offer an even wider choice of goods to customers – including it’s own brand pet food.
