Invented family are to explain the council’s plan

A FAKE Pinxton family have been invented by Bolsover District council to help explain the effect of their decisions.

The council’s corporate plan - ‘Family and community life at the heart of everything we do’ - features the fictitious Cavendish family as they tackle the trials and tribulations of everyday life.

Bolsover District Council’s deputy Leader councillor Alan Tomlinson said: “Council documents can be a bit dry at times, so we have tried to make our new corporate plan a bit of fun, but at the same time informative.

“By using the Cavendish family, other families across the district will be able to relate to them and make comparisons on their lives and how the decisions we make affects them.”

Pinxton councillor Mary Dooley said: “I think it will help people to understand our corporate aims a bit better.”
