A horse which got stuck in a Heanor ditch has been lifted to safety by fire crews

At 10.40am today, Saturday, April 14 firefighters from Matlock and Ripley attended a callout at Cromford Road, Langley Mill.

A spokesman for Derbyshire Fire and rescue Service said: “We attended an animal rescue incident at Cromford Road. A horse was removed to safety by fire crews after becoming stuck in a ditch.

“Derbyshire Police also attended for traffic management.”
