The star of this week’s Rescue Me is a pooch down on her luck called Josie.
The cross-breed female is 4-years-old and is currently residing at the RSPCA shelter in Derby after she was taken in by an inspector.
She was found at the time with another male dog called Mikey, who has since been rehomed.
Staff at the shelter Josie is residing say she is a shy but lovable character who needs bringing out of her shell.
Communities manager Karen Carter said: “She is losing a little weight and needs to get out of the kennel environment with people who can love and care for her.
“She is a lovely, friendly girl and would be fine with children aged 15 years plus , as she has not lived with very young children before.
“She would be best as a single dog in a household with no cats.”
If you can give Josie a home give the RSPCA in Derby a call on 01332 344620.
