Heanor British Legion calls for service personnel

The Heanor Branch of the Royal British Legion, are anxious to contact all those who were called up to serve their country from 1939 to 1960.

On the tenth Anniversary of the National Service Veterans Association, it is hoped to form a branch of the association in Heanor.

Currently the nearest one is in Birmingham.

The purpose of the association will be to provide comradeship, and welfare support to those who require assistance and provide social and other activities.

There will be a memorial meeting at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire, on Sunday 24th June to which all are invited.

If you are interested in the project call Owen Blackwell on 01773 760613, Terry Whittaker on 07857824565, or Tony Lynch on 07977976752.
