Heanor resident Kerri Pratt will be exhibiting and selling her abstract landscape artwork at this year’s Banks Mill Open Studios and Artisan Fair in Derby. Kerri has won numerous awards for her work and is currently working on her Reinventing the Landscape project, with the help of Arts Council and National Lottery funding. More than 70 makers, designers, artists and creatives will feature at this year’s Banks Mill Open Studios and Artisan Fair.
Attracting more than 1,000 visitors, Banks Mill on Bridge Street in Derby opens its studios to the public once a year to celebrate the quality and breadth of arts in Derby with this free to enter event.
From November 18 to November 20, visitors can meet the artists, designers and makers working in their studios who are creating some of the very best hand made products and creative services in Derby.
Alongside the open studios there will also be a bustling artisan fair at the Enterprise Centre, just a minutes’ walk from Banks Mill.
The fair is host to artists and makers of jewellery, ceramics, prints and cards, fine art, textiles, handmade bags and much more.
There are opportunities to buy and commission work direct from the artists - making wonderful gifts and Christmas presents.
To engage younger visitors, there will be an arts trail along with different activities throughout the weekend.
The open studios and artisan fair offers free entry and parking and is open from Friday, November 18, from 5pm to 8pm, and Saturday, November 19 and Sunday, November 20 from 10am to 5pm, at Banks Mill Studios and Enterprise Centre, Bridge Street, Derby, DE1 3LD.
