NHS Heroes encourages patients and their families to nominate staff members and teams whose compassion and kindness has made a difference to their lives. Anyone working in the NHS can be nominated, for any reason.

There are now just two weeks left to nominate your NHS Hero, as the closing date for entries is 21 September 2012. Patients, families and carers can nominate by visiting

Lew Hall, Lead Governor, said: “It’s fantastic that Derbyshire Healthcare’s patients across the county are being invited to nominate their NHS Heroes. There are many unsung heroes in the NHS, and mental health services are no exception. Every day staff across the organisation work to improve the experiences of patients and their families, and it’s great to think they will finally be recognised.”
