Blood clinic to move to Ilkeston

A blood clinic currently running at Heanor Memorial Hospital is set to transfer to Ilkeston while asbestos is cleared from the site.

The Heanor hospital will be closed while contractors rid a boiler room there of brown asbestos from Tuesday September 24, to Monday, October 7.

All services – except the outpatient physiotherapy service – have been temporarily relocated to Ilkeston Community Hospital, on Heanor Road, Derby.

The blood clinic will run at Ilkeston Community Hoapital on Heaor Road road Monday to Friday from 7.30am-12.30pm during this time.

Services are scheduled to return to Heanor Memorial Hospital from Monday 7 October.
