The Derbyshire Handy Van Service is run by Derbyshire County Council in partnership with Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, and handy van staff carry out a wide range of practical jobs in the home for the over 60s and disabled people of any age.

It now has a dedicated phone line to make it easier for people to refer others or request the service themselves. Call handlers will be able to deal with the request themselves rather than the caller being passed on.

The new number, charged at the local rate, is 0203 5354999 or people can email [email protected]
