HORTICULTURAL students at Derby College’s Broomfield Hall have clinched the coveted gold medal for the second year running at the Harrogate annual flower show.
The winning garden was inspired by Prince Charles’s Highgrove estate and featured a tribute to the forthcoming Royal Wedding. Student Josh Rogers, 20, from Ripley, said: “We have been working 12 hour days to set up the garden and were working right up to the last minute before the judges came round.”
More than 50 students were involved.
