Emergency services were called to an industrial estate in Alfreton after a car set on fire.

Crews from Alfreton fire station were called to reports of the fire, on Clover Nook Road, at around 7.30pm on Thursday, February 4.

A service spokesman said the car was “well alight”.

It was put out using a hose reel jet and specialist breathing equipment.

Police also attended the fire to close off the road - which is close to an industrial estate - whilst the fire was dealt with.

A spokesman for Derbyshire Constabulary said the incident is not being treated as suspicious.

An ambulance also attended the scene.
