Firefighters from Ripley attended a bonfire which had been left unattended in Denby last night (Saturday, May 19).

They were called to the scene in Brookvale Road, Denby at around 11.25pm.

One hose reel jet used to extinguish the fire before the owner arrived on scene and advice was given to the owner.

To inform Derbyshire Fire and Rescue of controlled burning on 01332 861800 and never leave bonfires unattended.
