over 50 people were evacuated from their homes in Selston after a fire involving gas cylinders started in the early hours of Monday morning.
Fire crews were called to a shed on Nottingham Road in Selston at 2am and a 200m cordon was put in place while six acetylene cylinders were left to cool for 24 hours.
The Fire Service is investigating how the fire started.
Nottingham Road, which was closed between the Langton Hollow and Mansfield Road junctions, has been reopened.
Two people were taken to hospital as a precaution and some families spent two nights in temporary accommodation before the cordon, which was reduced to 75m (246ft), was removed completely. People were allowed to return home on Tuesday morning.
