Plans for an equestrian centre are now firmly afoot in the Golden Valley after developers won on appeal.
In April last year, Amber Valley Borough Council refused the application, relating to land in Coach Road, Golden Valley.
The proposal was for an equestrian building, stable block, toilet block, on-site managers accommodation, community football pitch with associated changing rooms, and parking.
But despite the refusal, developers appealed to the Planning Inspectorate .
And at the end of last year, the planning inspectorate overruled the council refusal, and granted planning permission for the development.
Inspector Paul Dignan said: “I considered all of the issues of the appeal... [and] planning permission was granted.”
