An elderly woman needed medical treatment after a house fire in Derbyshire today (Ferbruary 16).
Crews from Heanor and Ilkeston fire stations were called to the property on Church View, in Loscoe, after the kitchen caught on fire just before 1pm.
The service used a hose reel jet, a thermal imaging camera and a CO2 extinguisher to put out the blaze - as well as specialist breathing equipment.
A spokesman said an ambulance was requested for one elderly female who suffered with smoke inhalation.
First aid and treatment was carried out by the fire service.
The stop message was received at 1.40pm.
